Sharing recordings between 9500's

I'm looking at moving to a whole home setup with three tvs (perhaps expanding later).  The Bell configurator shows I need 2 9500s and 1 7500.  While this looks good, I have been told that the while the 9500s  see each other to share resources, the don't share recorded programs between each other.  My question is can you play a recorded program on one TV attached to 9500 that is stored on the othe 9500?  Thanks in advance.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

For the Whole Home PVR Satellite set-up if you have a 9500 (up to two) and/or a 7500 (up to four) all receivers will share and have access to all recordings, as long as they are connected to the same Hybrid Duo Hub installed by a technician.

If not already in place, please contact Bell Satellite TV for further assistance & to arrange for a technician visit to set this up for you .

Well that kinda deafest the purpose of a "whole home" PVR.

What is a Whole Home PVR?

The Whole Home PVR provides PVR functionality to all the compatible Bell TV receivers in your home. This means that you can watch and manage your recordings on any connected TV.

I just checked and the tech who did the install did install a Hybrid Duo Hub. The two 9500 PVRs are connected to the ports that say "TO HOST / ADV CLIENT". The 7500 is connected to the port that says "TO CLIENT/HVN".

The tutorials on the support site are not helpful at all.

There is a lot of information on digitalhome.ca about the question you are asking. There are diagrams for Dish network with equipment that Bell does not provide. The consensus seems to be that 9500 receivers don't communicate with each other even with the duo hub. This probably deserves more research.

I have two 9500 receivers. I have a solo hub, not a duo hub. The 9500 units don't communicate with each other, that I can see.

Each 9500 can see the other 9500 and also the 7500. I will call Bell.

I am running 2 9500 PVR’s in my household. I am wondering if I can access my recordings from one of them through the other. I have the home hub 3000 for my Fibe internet.
