Hi,
After a few hours of inactivity (i.e. TV turned off by pressing the on/off button on the Bell voice remote), switching the TV on again is kind of tedious. The process goes as follows:
1) Press the on/off button on the Bell voice remote a first time. By doing this, the TV seems to start, but then the screen remains blank and nothing more happens;
2) Press the on/off button on the Bell voice remote a second time. This seems to wake up the VIP7802 receiver. The Android logo appears for some time, and after what looks like a long-ish boot process of the receiver, I can finally view TV channels.
This whole process takes much longer than one would expect. Am I missing something? Is there a better way to set this up?
If I switch the TV off with the Bell voice remote and then switch it on again without waiting too long, then all is fast and works as expected. So, it appears that the VIP7802 receiver falls asleep after a few hours and requires a full boot process to wake up. Is this inevitable?
Many thanks!

Hi,
By long-ish, I mean about 30 to 60 seconds. I actually found a workaround: to switch the system on, I first press OK on the Bell voice remote (this wakes up the VIP7802), then I press the power button (this switches the TV on). At this point, I see the Google wallpapers. Then I press OK again on the remote. This brings me to the channel that was playing when the system was switched off.
If there's a simpler way to proceed, I'd certainly like to know about it!
Thanks!

I haven’t switched yet but is there sth. like “sleep/turn-off after X hours” in the settings? It’s an android box after all.

Hi there @mcnic
Thank you for your post.
Could you please clarify in detail as to what "long-ish boot process" is (30 second, 3 minutes, 5 minutes, etc)? Please keep in mind that the receiver does have a boot up process as the android box needs to boot up, then run the programming for television app and then boot up to the guide / channel.
Looking forward to hearing back.

Hi there @mcnic,
A 30-60 second boot up time would be normal. If you've found a work around that works for you, that's great!
