I tried to install the Apple TV app on the Bell Streamer form Google Play Store, but it reports that the Apple TV app is not compatible with the device (Bell Streamer).
Has anyone been able to install the Apple TV app on their Bell Streamer? I can install the Apple TV app on my Chromecast with Google TV. Disappointed that the Bell Streamer is not a normal Google TV box like it claims to be.

Hi @Big2 ,
We've had the Bell Fibe App and Streamer combo for months. Apple TV+ is installed and there haven't been any problems. The Streamer is Android OS/Chromecast under the hood.
In case it needs to be pointed out, our Bell TV subscription does not include any receivers/boxes, no cloud-based PVR, etc. It's a minimalist setup.
It would help us problem-solve if you'd provide more details on the hardware you have, how far you get before the installation fails, what the Bell support person told you when you contacted them.
There's some useful information the Fibe TV app here: https://www.bell.ca/Fibe-TV/Fibe-TV-App

Apple TV+ started as a streaming service. It doesn't need to be on a pay TV platform. Only streaming services with live TV channels need to negotiate with telcos' to have their channels and on-demand section carried, like crave, HBO, Starz, super channel, etc. Apple TV+, Amazon Prime, Tencent, iqiyi, etc, can operate on their own.

Hi folks,
Apple TV is pretty much in there with all the other major streamers you already support. I know Bell is aligned with Google, but hoping there is a way to add Apple TV anyway.
Cheers.

Does anyone know how to get the apple tv+ app on the fibe tv RECEIVER? It is available on the fibe tv streamer but it doesn't seem to be available for download to the receiver...
Since the receiver is used for my main home theater tv this is very disappointing..
Thanks

Has anyone managed to sideload the apple tv app onto this box and have it successfully work? When I do it everything operates and chipmunk frequency and is as if streaming on apple tv is being done Fast Forwarded. Why the apple.tv app isn't supported on this device is beyond me...

Sideloading on the vip7802 has been unsuccessful for me...
I have tried apple tv app and it looks like it works, but as soon as you play any content it runs x4 speed and voices are all chipmunks. Have you managed to do this successfully? If so what's the secret...I grabbed the apk and used sendfilestotv app to get the file there..
I also tried sideloading the usa paramount plus app and it installs but installs as a system.app and doesn't appear on the launcher menu so you can't access it to run it.
If you have had any success with sideloading on this things, please share your tips...I have these apps sideloaded on my other Google devices and everything works without any problems...it's just this device....

I have just given up and decided not to bother with it. I've moved my receiver to a smaller tv and am using the streamer on my main tv.. The streamer has the app...
I spoke with Bell tekkies last evening and they confirm that Bell so far hasn't been interested in providing the apple tv services through their main receivers because the receiver technology doesn't work well with it.
To me it's a flaw I will just live with.... there are all kinds of other ways to watch apple tv that it isn't worth the trouble..
I like fibe, but thumbs down to their comments about why it isn' t on the receiver...

Truth be told, I'm not sure why I'm subscribing to the full fibe tv service anymore...the fibe app gives you almost everything for a lot less money.
The pvr has been severely degraded, bell sales people sold it hard to us and I had no interest in it. I wanted the old receiver with the drive and was told this is far better and the overall capabilities will get exponentially better as we move forward...false promises...
Now the whole purpose of using the receiver...4k channels and what not, can't even be used on my main tv because I can't get my main streaming platforms onto it.
Moving to app service and saving money maybe the smart thing to do now, there are literally no other real advantages as the hardware isn't good...

6 months in contract and these are the silly problems. These Bell VIP7802 Fibe TV boxes look like outdated technologies if they arent then they need big improvements. The wifi connectivity is not all that great even though the modem is within easy distance to all devices. 10 years ago had the BELL modem in basement and the wifi was better then.
APPLE TV cannot be downloaded from Google APP store. Have to use my ROKU device to connect. If thats the case why do I even need a FIBE TV box?
When I originally ordered the starter package it had a lot more channels conveniently they started taking away channels like the US channels, plus TLN and a few others I cant think of. You have to argue to get hem back?
ONDemand will load forever. Every once in awhile need to reboot the BELL fibe box.
Disney channel keeps requesting an Update from Google playstore which requires me to login in with my GMAIL to update. Why do I need to even login to use my GMAIL to do this. I login and then disconnect it again once completed. Annoying as my gmail has to be used on a BELL system.Plus the google search feature is slow and doesnt always get the results your looking for.
I guess the questions to ponder at end of my term. Do I really need FIBE TV when an external streaming box will do the job for cheaper and less technical issues?
If the service is slower and does not provide added vaue other the Internet service I can't see the benefots of FIBE TV moving forward.

I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to watch Apple TV on my home theatre system. It does not appear as an available app alongside Netflix, Prime, YouTube etc. on my VIP 5662 PVR and so I'm currently streaming from a PC connected via HDMI to my AV processor. It would be nice to have this integrated into one place and not have to lug a laptop down to the home theatre room.
I understand that there is a now a newer PVR, VIP 7802, but feedback on the forum seems mixed about whether this device can stream Apple TV. Does anyone have up-to-date information? I'd hate to go through the bother of changing the set-top box only to find that this doesn't solve the problem.
