Many thanks for confirming this, ZaneP and WelshTerrier.  That is what I had thought it was, and had not clicked the link.

I am concerned that it is a phishing scam? It says it is from webmail Admin and says that due to my continuous use of outdated version they will block my email (click here to update and accept out new terms and conditions) looks very legit but I am very suspicious?

I received an email stating that “We’ve upgraded although users agreement policy we want to take this opportunity to notify you about this update as your services with Bell will be restricted to resolve this restriction kindly download and review the attached bell_service_PDF with your credentials.” I want to know if this is a scam or not.

I have received a email stating that my bell.net email is being discontinued. Is this just a spam email to me?

Hi there @Lhstah,

Thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community 🙂

That sounds like a spam/phishing email.

There is a new variation on the phishing scam I have seen recently. The phishing e-mail tells me that my e-bill is ready. The giveaway is that it is not from a Bell e-mail and the links in the e-mail are fraudulent. The intent is to steal your account credentials. Beware.

Thanks for sharing @dks 🙂

If you still have the email can you post a photo so the community can check it out to see what the email looks like? Just be sure to hide any personal information.

As requested. Clicking on the link makes the attempted fraud obvious. Bell Phishing.jpg

A good give away to the scam is the To field.

It should be going to you and you only. If you see anybody else's e-mail account in there it's an automated mass mailer.

I received an email from My Bell to update my server and they requested my email address and password.  Was this Bell Canada or a scam?

Scam. Hopefully you did not provide anything and deleted the e-mail.

Absolutely a scam. The fraudster creates a false sense of urgency so you will give up your Bell account credentials. Good for you for recognizing it!
