When I download anything on the PS5 my Home Hub shuts down the internet and throws an error 6011. This was not the case until a few weeks ago.
The PS5 is connected via Ethernet and the end result is incredibly low download speeds followed by all the other devices connecting via WIFI losing access.

Bell tech support told me twice that I needed to update to the Giga hub. But what worked for me having this issue was to make a guest wifi then have the ps5 connect to it. Worked like a charm with no disruptions at all.

Thank you for your comments. There are a couple of other things you might consider.
Absolute speed is not the best way to determine the quality of a gaming connection. Another factor called ping time is better. Ping time measures the minimum time needed to send smallest possible amount of data and receive response. Ping tests use ms units (1000 milliseconds = 1 second). Usual ping values for hard wired fibre optic and cable internet connections are between 5-20ms. Wireless (2.4Ghz, 5Ghz,..) connections are close to 30ms. Mobile connections are much worse; more than 100ms. This is also why your connection between your gaming box and the Giga Hub needs to be wired and the cable itself has to be Cat6. The cable also has to be the shortest distance possible. Ping time can be tested from within your Bell Giga Hub. You will need to go into the Giga Hub dashboard, enter the URL of your game host and receive the ping to that host almost immediately.
The internet is like a highway. Parts of it are super fast with high speeds straight stretches and parts are like country roads with lots of curves and much slower speeds. Those speeds can be measured by a test called traceroute. Traceroute is also available on the Giga Hub dashboard. A traceroute displays the path that the signal takes as it travels around the Internet to a destination website. Traceroute displays response times that occurred at each stop along the route. If there is a connection problem or latency somewhere on the internet connecting to a site, it will show up in these times. You can easily see where a slowdown is occurring along the path to your gaming server. This is also something your can not change except by disconnecting and reconnecting or rebooting your Giga Hub. Even then there is no guarantee your ping time and traceroute will improve. It is very much trial and error.
I hope these suggestions are helpful as you seek to improve your gaming experience.

This seems to be an issue for some with a PS5, as others have reported similar issues.

A quick internet search does indeed confirm this an issue with the PS5. It can be resolved with the Virtual Repair Tool from the My Bell software. If the problem continues, contact Bell Service directly and ask them to further investigate.

I know. Same issue I had. Do you have the home hub 3000? If so get it changed to the giga hub modem and should solve your problem

Can't seem to figure out why I'm unable to get a decent download/upload speed with my PS4. Wired I'm only getting 26mbs download, and around 10-20mbs wireless.
Took it to my neighbor's house who is also a bell subscriber and has the same internet package and getting dl speeds in the 100's on the wireless. Got a new modem, and still same issue. And when connecting wirelessly to download, I keep getting a 6011 error on the modem and have to reset to clear.
Any ideas !

Thank you for your question. You can find the specifics about your error code here . The suggested remedy is to run the Virtual Repair Tool . If that does not remedy your issue, contact Bell.

Try the visitor WiFi option. I have seen postings were people were able to fix all their PS issues using that for connecting their WiFi rather then the regular WiFi.

I should also add make sure you are using a Cat6 network cable or better.
