I’ve currently upgraded from HH4000 1Gb to Gigahub 3gb and my wifi speeds are terrible.
I’ve already turned off wifi optimization and Wifi 6, along with different SSID names. Currently on firmware 1.14.1
how can I get the new 1.15x firmware @BellPatricia

Hi there @dash
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
Are you able to share which modem model you have?
Can you perform a speed test result directly through the modem GUI and share a screenshot of the results?
Are you using any third party equipment such as a router and if so, have you tried disconnecting it from your setup to see if the issue persists?
Are you using an VPN service and have you tried disabling it to see if the issue persists?
Looking forward to hearing back.

Hi, recently my plan got upgraded to 3Gbps. When I checked my internet speed in my phone or laptop it shows only around 300Mbps. I got a bell technician stop by and he replaced the modem. He said the modem is capable of delivering 3Gbps speed but the phone or laptop are not capable to test this speed. Is it true? Can’t I check 3Gbps speed ?

Good Day @DsIndiran
How are you testing your device & modem speed? To accurately test your phone's internet speed, use a dedicated speed test app or website, like Speedtest by Ookla. Ensure you're connected to the network you want to test, and ideally, run the test when the network isn't heavily used.
Keep in mind, you are testing the device & computer speed only. 300 Mbps sounds about right for a Wi-Fi wireless device such as an iPhone or Samsung Galaxy S24. I cannot comment on your laptop. This reading could be correct as well. What speed is your laptop capable of? How is it connected? Wired or wireless?
Please check out this weblink & select the video weblink that is included. Understand Internet speeds.
Bell Internet Speed Test | Measure the performance of your Bell Internet speeds
To accurately measure your overall Gigabit Fibe 3.0 Gbps speed, you can do so by logging in to your modem and select Speed Test. This will measure the maximum upload & download speed to your Bell Giga Hub. If you have a Giga Hub or a Home Hub 4000, you can also run the speed test directly from the modem.
Further Speed Test instructions are included in this web link:
Manage your modem’s settings in the interface of the Home Hub 3000 and 4000, and the Giga Hub
Take care.

Follow these instructions on how to perform a speed test from within the modem menu. That test should show you the speed of the plan you are subscribed on.
As for speed tests from Wireless devices, you will not be able to achieve 3 Gbps speeds.

Just got a brand new Gigahub 2.0 on my new Bell account. Had a Gigahub 1.0 on a 3/3 Fibe package. Download was always good clocking around 2938/3158.
Installed the new Hub on the new Bell profile, and download speed is capped at 1.5 GBPS. Same installation that was getting 3/3 before cannot get even close to 2 gbps in downloads.
Tried calling Bell, and the tech keeps increasing my upload for some reason but I am not getting download speeds I am paying for.

Already tried all of these and called 3 times to get it fixed. Technicians can't even run remote speedtest on the modem so feels like this Gigahub is a lemon. I am getting it replaced in store tomorrow.

Lol good job Bell, your own speedtest can't return the right speeds.... No wonder I can't hit my 2.5 from your website

Have you run the Virtual Repair Tool? That can help with profile anomalies,

The virtual repair tools never completes, it stays stuck for hours on "Rebooting your modem" even though the modem is back online.
As mentioned, I am getting the right speeds, just not from the Bell speed test.
An agent ran the test from her end last night and got 985mbps for downloads, while I am getting 2.2 gbps on speedtest.net, there is clearly something wrong with Bell's servers

Thank you for your reply. Have you done a hard reboot (unplug. let it sit for 5 minutes and plug in) of your modem? And have you run a speed test outside of the modem dashboard? With what results?

Multiple reboots were done since then. Old Gigahub 1.0 still gets 3/3 no problem when plugged back in.
The speedtest you see in my screenshot is inside the browser on Bell.ca. The speedtest inside the device gives even worst results under 1gbps

The test from the modem GUI is not really a speed test, but more of a link test and should always match your profile speed.
The test at bell.ca is a real world speed test, and the results can vary greatly depending on network conditions.
Since the speed test from the modem menu is not showing a correct speed result, that will have to be corrected which is not something you can do yourself. 1.5/8 is not a proper profile and it should be 3/3 if that is your Fibe package.
