Thanks for your reply. I have mobile service with another provider who has call control. It is no more or less effective than Bell. I still get lots of spam callers. My own default is to keep my phone on vibrate and allow unrecognized calls to go to voice mail. They never leave a message. Your solution may be different, though. I said nothing about home phone.

There is no 100% method but Call Control for cell phones at Telus prevents 99% scam callers and Bell needs to implement this service for FREE or Bell will lose mega customers. I’m cancelling soon and going with Telus as I get 10-15 spam/scam calls a day and Bell does NOTHING about it!

Good Day.

Thank you for posting your comments on the Bell Community Forum. I do not work for Bell. As a member of this forum, I did my best in replying & answering a question that was raised by another member. It may not be the response you wish to see, but it is what it is.

Have a wonderful day.

Take care.

It’s driving me crazy.  I came over from Telus mobile.  They have a blocker which I miss.  I hope bell can come up with something similar.  Or I might have to go back to Telus.

When will there be call control on my cell

Good day.

BELL Mobility does not offer Call Control as a feature for cell phones. To the best of my knowledge there are no plans in place to offer call control. I am not aware of any foolproof method that is available today that will stop fraud & spam calls. It is a never-ending battle. Scammers will try everything & anything to make you believe in them!

Bell has implemented Universal Network-Level Call Blocking (UNCB) to help protect Canadians against certain types of unsolicited calls. UNCB blocks calls that have blatantly inaccurate Call Display information.

Bell introduced a new feature last month Suspicious Call Detection. Suspicious call detection uses AI analytics to monitor incoming calls in real time, and it alerts you about potential spam or fraud, allowing you to decide whether to answer incoming calls by labelling the suspicious ones. It is automatically available for all Bell Mobility customers at no extra charge and cannot be turned off.

I agree!  It seems Bell is the follower and not the leader in cell service offerings.  Security issues should be Bell’s number one priority, not just because all other service providers have already been proactive in protecting their subscribers’ security.

Thanks for your thoughts. @WelshTerrier has provided a comprehensive answer to your concerns in an earlier post. There are also good responses in the helpful replies that have a green checkmark.
