How to log off from My Bell to support privacy - it’s not obvious- never had trouble before. You could go to the menu on the home page to log off but now I can’t find it. This isn’t helpful when we are trying to maintain security

Thanks for your question. To log off the web page, go to the radio button on the top right of the web page which says MyBell and logging off can be found at the bottom of the drop down pick list. You are also signed out the moment you leave the MyBell web page.

Good Day.
As @dks mentioned, if you are accessing your MyBell account by way of a web browser, on the opening page, go to the radio button on the top right of the web page which says MyBell. Select > MyBell. Scroll down & Select > Log out. You are also signed out the moment you leave the MyBell web page & close your browser.
If you are accessing your MyBell account using the MyBell app, select the "People" icon at the top of the screen. This will take you to the My account page. If you are not logged in, you will see a blue box with > Log in. Enter you Username & Password. To logout of your MyBell account with the MyBell app, Select the "People" icon once again. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. Select > Log out. (FYI Only. On this same page, you can select the option to automatically: "Log out when closing app.")
Take care.

Hi there @BunsenH
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
Is it that the "Log out" button is not working or that you can't find it? The "Log out" button is at the very bottom left (in the screenshot you provided).

There is no "Log out" at the bottom of the "My account" page on the MyBell app. Nor is there an option to automatically log out, either on that page or under "Privacy settings".

I just updated my app to the current version (Android v11.17.3(600)) and restarted my phone. Under "My account" there is still no "Log out", nor is there an option to automatically log out, either on that page or under "Privacy settings".

Good Day.
Thank you for your reply. Can you please provide us with some additional details?
This may sound like a dumb question, are you using the MyBell app or are you referring to the Bell Wi-Fi app?
You mentioned that you recently updated your OS, did the MyBell app work prior to this update or is this a recent issue that has come about after the OS update?
Can you please provide us with the make & model number of your device? Which version of the MyBell app is installed on your device?
Take care.

I'm using the MyBell app. I also have the Bell wi-fi app; I'm not mistaking which one I'm using and referring to.
I haven't updated the OS recently; I updated the MyBell app.
I'm using a Samsung SM-G960W, i.e. the Canadian model of the Samsung Galaxy S9. It's Android version 10, kernel version 4.9.186-21635681. Android security patch level February 1, 2022. I can give you all of the other details about the OS if you need them.
As I wrote above, the MyBell app version is v11.17.3(600).
I don't know if the lack of the "log out" feature is recent. I only started using the MyBell app a month or so ago, and I don't recall ever having been able to log out. (Of course, if I was able to log out, that wouldn't be particularly memorable, since that's a thing I'd expect of any app of this type. And I wouldn't necessarily have tried to explicitly log out, though it's the kind of thing I'm usually careful to do. So my not remembering being able to log out isn't especially reliable, when it comes to diagnosing this.) I recall looking for a "log out" button a couple of weeks ago, not being able to find it, and deciding (at that time) not to worry about it too much; I assumed that at some point the session would end.

Uh. Apparently the problem is that I'm unable to see things that are in front of my eyes. Or something. Yes, it's there, and yes, it works. [*sigh*] I apologize for taking everyone's time.
I'm still not seeing any option for "automatically log out". Where would I find that?

I am glad you found the solution to your question. No apology needed. We love to answer questions and work towards solutions. I believe the software automatically signs you out after a certain time. If not, your device should time out and block software access.
