What does "CR xx "on my bill denote? Does it mean that xx money is already present in my account and that I don't need to make any payment?
It is so confusing.

Good day @Nogo
Welcome to the Bell Community 🙂
If there is a credit on your account, rest assured it will go towards your new balance. If the credit covers your full balance then no payment will be processed. Check out this helpful reply
for more details.

Good Day.
If your account is showing: “CR $xx.xx”, that is great news. That means you have either overpaid or have a credit / security deposit that has been returned & applied to your account. There is nothing you need to do further. This credit will be applied to your next bill reducing the amount owing.
Take care.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
@Minnieme This is a peer-to-peer website. As such, we do not have access to your account or billing details. I will do my best to answer your question.
If your account is showing: -$144.00 is due, this is a “CR $144.00”. That is great news.
This means you have either overpaid or have a credit / security deposit that has been returned & applied to your account. There is nothing you need to do. This credit will be applied to your next bill reducing the amount owing.
There is no need for you to adjust your pre-authorized payments. It will self-adjust based on the credit being applied to your account.
FYI Only. Community Moderators must review and approve all uploaded images before they can be displayed. Although you can see your uploaded images that are awaiting approval, other community members who view your images can only see the ones that have been approved.
Thank you for your question.
Take care.

Thank you for your question. A minus amount in MyBell indicates you have an account credit for that amount. It won’t let you pay more until that credit is used up.

Would bell take money from my Bell account in Credit balance first or directly from pre-authorized direct debit leaving the credit balance untouched forever?

Good evening @xman, and thanks for reaching out to the Bell Community 🙂
If there is an outstanding credit on your account that amount will cover any new charges until it's depleted. Then your pre-authorized payments will resume.

If you have a credit balance that means that there is an outstanding credit, and no payment would be due. If your account was closed & the payment method was removed or changed, you will need to contact Bell Customer Services Accounts & billing and provide them with this updated information.
Please call: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial #611 from any Bell mobile device.
It can take 3-4 weeks to receive a refund under normal circumstances.
For mobile phones, or accessories, you’ll receive a refund 60 to 90 days after we have receive and verify items you’ve returned.
Your final bill will arrive within 40 days after the cancellation of your services. Your final bill may include the following items:
- Final regular monthly charges
If your service is cancelled (by you or by Bell) in the middle of a billing period, you will receive a prorated refund for monthly fees billed at the beginning of the billing period that apply to the period after the cancellation of your services. - Early cancellation fees (if applicable)
If you are cancelling your Bell services and you are still within the contract period, you may be subject to early cancellation fees. The amount depends on the service, and will be added to your final bill. - Credit balance (if applicable)
For balances between $10 and $500 on your final bill, we will mail a cheque to your preferred mailing address within 90 days of the date of that bill. For balances of a different amount, please contact us to request that a cheque be mailed.
Take care.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
Thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community Forum. This a peer-to-peer community forum. As such, account billing issues such as an overpayment, refunds or credits cannot be handled on this website.
If you recently signed up for pre-authorized payments, & you overpaid, your account will be credited & any overpayment will be applied to your next monthly bill. Do not adjust your pre-authorized payment.
Bell will apply this overpayment as a credit to your account. This overpayment will show up on MyBell when the funds are received. This credit will be deducted from your next bill. You will see a CR $ amount credit on your account.
Should you require further assistance, please contact Bell Customer Service Accounts & billing: 1 866 310-BELL (2355) or dial #611 from any Bell mobile device.
Take care.
