Good Day

You are doing all of the right things.

That is another example of a scam! Do not open the link or reply to the email! Just another example of fraud. If it is the same sender all of the time, you can block the email address and / or domain. Please have a look at the following.

Service provider impersonation scam - Bell

All My Spam and junk mail is coming to me via the address "ebill@Bell.ca" I cannot Block it because it says that the address is one I approve of ???? Maybe because I'm a Bell customer. How do I get rid of this ???

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community.

If your email address has been compromised & added to a fraudulent distribution list, there are really only a couple of things you can do: Are you sure the email address is a legitimate @Bell.ca address?

  1. I would begin by blocking this email address & set up an alternative email address.
  2. I also would run a scan on your device for a virus, trojan horse or some form of malware.
  3. I would also change my contact email address on MyBell.

Thank you for posting your question.

Take care.

I'm getting hundreds of emails to me bell.net

Tried marking as spam but doesn't work

Any help? Thanks]

Hey @CGSCGSCGS7

Welcome to the Bell Community.

Can you share what type of information/request was included in the emails that you are receiving?

We recommend that you report any suspicious email that appears to be from Bell by forwarding the emails directly to phish@bell.ca. Simply start a new email message and attach the suspicious email.

Let the Community know if you have any more questions.

@BellPatricia

Today I received an email from a very good look alike Bell bill. However, upon looking at it closely, I knew there was something wrong with it as it was about $100 less than my normal charges for the month. I opened my Bell account and quickly discovered that this was indeed a new scam. I also looked at the ip address and saw that it was from an individual. So beware folks.

This is recent for us too.  Tons of spam coming from "ebill@Bell.ca".  Would like Bell to address.  Will start reporting as per the instructions on Bell.ca.

"Report any suspicious email that appears to be from Bell by forwarding it to phish@bell.ca. To do so, start a new email message and attach the suspicious email, as this will include additional header information to help us investigate".

I have been receiving a lot of email from various places that are all using the address ebill@bell.ca - I can only put them in the junk mail and cannot block them because this is the same email address I receive my bills from.  It is becoming extremely annoying - there must be a way that Bell can stop this from filtering through.  These emails are from Costco, CAA, McAffee, amongst others.

Any help would be appreciated - thanks and have a great day!

I get spam all the time from people who have hijacked someone’s email account and send out fake emails trying to get your to respond or click on links.  This is easy to spot by simply clicking on the “from” link to reveal the real sender’s email address.  Then it’s easy to just block this sender and not receive anymore emails from that address.  However, for the past month when I click on the “from” line the email address that comes up is: ebill@bell.ca

As this is the address that sends me my monthly bell invoice, I can’t block it.  So what’s going on.  I’ve send these spam emails to: phish@bell.ca  asking why I’m getting these things but have no reply.  I need an answer here.  Should I block ebill@bell.ca?

I don’t think my email has been compromised.  It’s your email that has been compromised.  And it’s a little frustrating that your solution if for me to do everything.  First of all, the address sending the spam is ebill@bell.ca  with a lower case “b”.  That’s the address that sends me my monthly invoice, so if I block that address I will no longer receive my invoices from Bell.  The address in your response is Bell.ca with an upper case “B”.  So, if I block the ebill@bell.ca will I still receive my monthly invoice from Bell?

I’ve not a computer genius and don’t have a lot of email addresses or a virus scanner. This is the only problem I’m having.  It’s a bit disconcerting that a huge tech giant like Bell can’t solve this problem and hold the perpetrators of this spam to account.  Doesn’t I still confidence and makes me think I should use another company for internet.

ebill@bell.ca is not sending you spam. Someone pretending to be ebil@bell.ca is sending you spam.

Without knowing what e-mail client you are using, it's hard to provide any direct assistance.

What is an email client?  I’m using sympatico.  No one is answering the question.  If I block ebill@bell.ca  will I still receive my invoices?  And, if someone “pretending to be ebill@bell.ca” is sending my these messages, why doesn’t the real sender’s address show up when I click on the senders address?

You’re not making much sense.  I need help here and feel I’m getting the run around.

Good Day.

An email client is a software application that is used to access, manage, and send emails. It allows them to view and organize their email messages. E.g. Microsoft Outlook, Apple Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird, etc.

Let us know if we can be of further assistance to you.

Thank you for your question.

An e-mail client is the software you use to view your e-mail, like Outlook, Apple Mail etc...

If you block ebill@bell.ca you will not be able to receive any invoices if they come from ebill@bell.ca.

The real sender does not show up when you click on the senders address as that information is modified to hide the real sender.

If you want to know who the real sender is, you have to look at the e-mail header. How to check e-mail header

You can use their email header analyzer to convert it into a more understandable format.
