My receiver model 6131 will not sync channels. Also it will not reboot properly, it comes up with error 004, and when you try changing channels it displays error 002: satellite temporarily unavailable. I have tried resetting and resyncing. I have also tried resetting to default.  Any help?

New Receiver won’t load past 40%

Any ideas how to fix this issue? We have removed the card, turned off the receiver, etc.

What’s the model? Were you talking about the loading screen or the storage of recordings?

Upgraded to 6500 hd receiver. Getting error code 004 during setup which never goes past 40% completion

Error 004 on the 6500 is an issue detected on the Multidish switch.

Try the following:

Power down the unit. Unplug the receiver power. Make sure all of your connections are seated properly. Wait 30 seconds. Plug the receiver back in.  Remove the Smart Card. Wait 30 seconds. Reinsert the card. Make sure the card is not damaged & there is no dirt or marks on the card.

Hi there @narcisse
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
Are you able to share what television service you subscribe to and what receiver model you are experiencing this on?
Have you tried unplugging the receiver from the power and plugging it back in?
Looking forward to hearing back.

When I switched out my old receivers for the new 6500 HD Receivers the set up will start up to 40% and then stop and say there is a problem for me to call and say error code #004?

Hello

I'm having the same problem. I currently have 3 4100s and a 6131.  These are all working on a QUAD DPP LNB ( AK74-BTE) as a one-to-one connection; no separator or exterior switches, just direct cabled.  I installed the 3 replacement 6500s and receive error code #004.  The units jump from 0% to 20% to 40% and then eventually come up with the Oops something went wrong.  Called support on Saturday Sept 30, who didn't know anything more than I already knew (power cycle, power off for a couple of minutes, reseat smart card, push updates, etc).  A technician appointment is set up for this week.  However, on Sunday I decided to try connecting to the other dish that has the old 2 port LNB.  No problems adding the additional two 6500s - work like a charm (slowly counted up to 40% dropped to 28% then back to 40% after a bit climbed slowly to 100%, rebooted, downloaded the guide and off to the races (NASCAR)).  I have a DPP Dual LNB (AK72-BTE-EC) that I thought I'd try in place of the DPP Quad.  Same results as with the Quad - 40% and then Oops.  Bell really needs to do a better job at helping people with this forced upgrade.

Hi there @Fabian1970
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
We wanted to check in to see if you are still experiencing issues with your new receiver?
Looking forward to hearing back.

@BellNick this is still happening.  None of the 3 6500s are working.  And because of the troubleshooting done on Saturday, the 3 4100s are not part of our list of equipment any more so we are down to only one receiver that is operational out of the 4 on the dish with the DPP Quad LNB.  I do hope Bell is not expecting to charge for the technician visit.  Everything was working as we liked prior to this forced upgrade.
