Hi there @UserB11
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
With the upgrade from the old SD receiver to the new HD receiver, the exchange, equipment and installation should have no fee's associated. When sending out a technician we do advise that there is a possibility of a technician fee if the equipment impacted is not covered.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Community.

We have bell satellite tv and have more than one receiver. We are receiving an error 004 message when we change the channels. The error message is occurring for the same channels on both receivers. We’ve tried holding the front power for 10 seconds as the message is stating to do with no luck.
not sure what else to do

My issue was previous receiver connected via wifi to main. The new receiver do not and must be connected to bell via cable individually. I ran the cable myself and connected to new receiver and problem solved.

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
Can you provide us with some further information? Are you on Bell Satellite TV? Which receiver are you experiencing this issue with?
Error 004: Problem detected with multi-dish switch. Please try the following:
- Power down the unit. Unplug the receiver power. Make sure all of your connections are seated properly. Wait 30 seconds. Plug the receiver back in. Remove the Smart Card. Wait 30 seconds. Reinsert the card. Make sure the card is not damaged & there is no dirt or marks on the card.
- Try resetting your receiver by pressing and holding the POWER button on your receiver for at least 5 seconds until it resets.
- If that does not resolve the issue, you can try running thee Check Switch Option. Here’s how:
- Press MENU on your remote.
- Press the Menu button on the Bell remote control.
- Press 6 on your Bell remote to go to the System Setup menu (this appears as Settings for the 9500 and 6500 models).
- Press 1 on your Bell remote to go to the Installation menu.
- Press 1 on your Bell remote to go to the Point Dish screen.
- Using the arrow keys on the Bell remote control, scroll to the Check or Check Switch option on your screen and press the Select button.
- Using the arrow keys on the Bell remote control, scroll to Test and press Select.
- Your system is now running the signal test; please wait as this may take several minutes.
- Once the signal test is complete, exit the menu completely and check if your programming has returned.
If none of the above resolves your problem, you will need to contact Bell TV Support at: 1-888-759-3474
Let us know how you make out & if you require any further assistance.
Take care.
