For the last 3 days when I power off my Bell Fibe TV Box, it has been randomly powering itself on (by itself) and powering my TV on. The frequency of this happening is random, but approximately 3 to four times in 24 hours. If I leave the Fibe TV Box on, it works fine. It just happens when I power it off. I'll power it off when going out or going to bed, it powers off as expected and turns the TV off as expected. And then sometimes hours later it all comes back on by itself. It's very weird. There are just the two of us at home here, so no kids powering it on etc - it seems to have a mind of it's own. Anyone seem this before or can provide any help? Thanks in advance.

Hi there @citpaj
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
There's a couple different reasons this may occur, so we'd first recommend the following:
- Change the batteries in your remote to fresh ones.
- Check your television setting for the CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) option and make sure it's turned off.
Please let the Community know how that goes.

@BellNick I wanted to provide an update on this. The reset of the remote did not resolve the problem for long. The next day the problem returned. I replaced the batteries in the remote, and it's been stable now for several days, so you were right when you suggested replacing the batteries! Thanks again.

@BellNick Thanks for the reply. I resolved it by resetting my Fibe TV Android box remote to factory settings, and then reran the remote setup to configure it to control the TV power and volume.
