If I have recordings older than 365 days, (or more than 320 hours), will they all suddenly disappear?
This is a drastic change that most people probably don’t know about.
TV isn’t essential of course, but I still have some old stuff I’d like to watch.

I am so upset about this change. Looking to change. And if I have to I will download from pirate sources.
This is not what they sold me.

PVR recordings have been reduced from 365 to 60 days storage. In the Terms I received from Bell with my 2 year contract, it specifies that recordings will be kept for 365 days. There is also a $10.00 Cloud fee on my bill to store said recordings. If the fee was $10.00 for 365 days, what should it be for $60.
There was no automatic decrease of the monthly bill amount. I raised this issue to CCTS https://www.ccts-cprst.ca/for-consumers/complaints/complaint-form/
Bell has advised that this is a policy change, not a reduction to service. You can call it a 'Policy Change' however it is a significant reduction in services that were provided to your customers. I encourage anyone paying for a PVR to to reach out to Bell for a reduction in your bill and or file a complaint with CCTS.
Very dissatisfied with the Bell organization. I thought that Bell was reputable.

I am quite disturbed to read on CTV news yesterday although original post of the article was April 5 which I never received notification for.
The article says that my recordings will be deleted after 60 days off my PVR. I already have to deal with that using the Bell Fibe App which is a pain in the butt but I tolerate it because I can still watch it on my PVR after but now I am reading that even my recordings on my PVR will be deleted after 60 days.
This is UNACCEPTABLE. 60 days is not enough time. I get if you have to do it after a year but 2 months NO sorry.

I am VERY annoyed and upset that my recordings are being deleted automatically. I have plenty of space on my PVR (nowhere close to being used up) so WHY is Bell deleting them? I have the VIP7802 Fibe boxes (2). If I'm allotted 'x' amount of space for recordings then just leave them alone until the PVR needs the space. When I setup recordings the option is always set for 'keep until space is needed' BUT they are still deleted. This is extremely annoying since I can't always keep up with recordings and if I'm watching a series and several episodes are deleted then there is no point watching the series. This behaviour is NOT what I signed up for and if this keeps up then I'll be cancelling my subscription.

My recordings are slated for deletion even though I said not to delete until there is no room available....
It's a VIP Arris 7802 PVR
Totally unacceptable......

I found out two days ago that all of my recordings are erased and I don't have a PVR 7802.
I have a PVR VIP 1232.
Also, my current recordings are automatically deleted after 60 days.
According to a newspaper posting, it said as of May 1, 2024 that this affects 7802 PVR box.
Currently, I am on the phone speaking to a technician to find out why all of my past recordings are deleted.
Also, why I wasn't advised by email that the recordings would be deleted after 60 days.

I spent over 2 1/2 hrs on the phone with a technician and all of my recording are erased.
Please let me know why I was never advised about the erasing even the ones 60 days.
