We have channels that do not fit properly on our tv screen, this started happening about a month ago. We thought it was our tv. We have check our other tv and the channels are fine.. we have the model 9400 receiver. Has anyone one else have this issue and how to fix it.

thank you

Hi there @RankInFile

Thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community.

Clicking the * button on your remote will toggle through the zoom options. Can you clarify which remote you are using?

@BellPatricia

I have the Slim infrared remote control as supplied by Bell with the 6500 receiver.  FYI,  I have tried all 5 Image formats  (Normal, Stretch, Zoom1, Zoom 2, and Gray Bar).  None resolve this display issue.

Same issue as everyone else. Did everything else suggested. The * not working any more. Used the "page" up and down and it worked for some channels but not for cp24 #503 which we use a lot.

I agree..not acceptable at all and I'm finding more channels that are hard to watch..its in zoomed in mode..nothing I can do to zoom out..very annoying

As an update, I have recently seen improvement on this display issue, but not through using the slim Bell remote.  Pressing Options on that unit and then selecting "Image Format" offers these choices: Normal, Stretch, Zoom 1. Zoom 2, and Gray Bar.  None improved the issue.

I had another try at this last week as @BellPatricia had previously advised that updating work was underway.   Rather than using the Bell remote, I instead accessed the Picture Size options using the factory remote originally supplied with our Samsung TV.  These are Wide Fit, 4:3, Screen Fit, and 16:9 (your TV options may be different depending upon brand).   I had tried this previously to no avail, however, last week I found that selecting the "16.9" picture size allows all of our channels to display correctly.  The headers, sidebars and lower banners now all appear in full without being cut off.

While this improvement may be specific to my setup, it might be worth trying the remote control originally supplied with your TV to change its display settings rather than the Bell unit.

An excellent point. I have always found using the TV picture mode first to be helpful.

The SD: Full Zoom setting is not alterable on my Tv. The CNBC channel on 509 has clearly been upgraded to digital content. The HD setting will scroll through the options but the screen doesn’t change. Ho can I resolve this to view the whole screen?

Hi there @CNBCViewer
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
We wanted to check in to see if you had time to review the thread and test any suggestions offered to see if it resolves your concern?
Looking forward to hearing back.

The SD ZOOM WILL NOT CHANGE for 509 CNBC. Only the HD picture settings will change and it does nothing when you change it likely because the channel is likely classified as SD

THE PICTURE quality has clearly improved to HD recently but the zoom settings cut off the picture badly given it is fixed at SD: Full Zoom. I have reset the receiver to no avail.

It doesn’t work - the SD settings are unalterable. The problem cannot be resolved. There’s nothing wrong with the remote page down button.
