My signal strength consistently fluctuates from 95% to 0% on only my HD channels. I have not changed any settings, dish position, or cabling. The issue started about 2 weeks ago. I have reset the receiver and the issue remains. There are no obstructions to the dish.

Thoughts?

Hello @Karl70

Welcome to the Bell Community, and thank you for posting.

Can you share what type of receiver you have, and if this is affecting more than one receiver in your home?

When this happens is there any special weather pattern in the area, such as heavy rain, wind and cloud coverage?

Please keep the Community posted on how everything is going with the troubleshooting steps that are posted above.

Hello Patricia,

I have three receivers 9400, 9241 and 6131. The signal on HD channels and now some SD channels lose signal. The weather is not a factor. There is a neighbour's maple tree that 50 ft away, the dish points towards this tree however, we have not had signal issues before 3 weeks ago.

Had to upgrade receiver from standard to HD satalite.

Tech was out changed dish and receiver, worked showed and shows  100%

when working. Cuts out and goes to no signal satellite 91 and goes through transponder check.

Have reset as per message when calling in, does not fix issue. only have 1 receiver at present.

What next. Went from a working service to THIS!

Is your dish covered in snow or ice? If so, it can be cleaned off to restore your signal. You can call 310-BELL (2355) to ask then to re-synch your receiver or you can do it through the MyBell web page.

Hmm that interesting . I wonder what cased it . I will say that a strange one to have . Well I am wonder if it the dish .but could be wrong . I hope that you tell us the reciver model and how we can help you .

Satellite service is very blurred

Is your dish covered in snow or ice? Any obstructions blocking the signal? Have you checked for loose connections?

Have you tried to re-synch your receiver. You can call 310-BELL (2355) to ask to have this completed or you can do it through the MyBell web page.

Take care.

Why is one of our receivers losing satellite connection and this keep happening? it cuts randomly and not on a specific channel or time of day. There are no trees blocking the satellite. We changed the receiver to another tv and it happened to that tv.
