I just switched from Cogeco Cable to bell fibe tv and was surprised the weather channel in fibe tv is not local as it was on Cogeco? I'm in Sarnia and the weather here is usually quite different to London, KW and Toronto. A company as large and expensive as Bell should be able to have local weather. Very disappointed. This would have likely swayed my decision to change providers as its one of the channels I rely on.

Thanks for confirming @Rodenti .
Channel 505 and 1505 are different channels. Channel 505 is for Toronto and 1505 cycles through different regions.
As for the Weather Network application, this feature of auto-tuning to the weather network channel with the app on top is not available with the 7802. You will need to either use the stations available on the guide or download the Weather Network app from the Play Store. This feature ("Your current channel will be tuned to The Weather Network channel and the app will appear on top.") is for the older Fibe TV equipment.

I would be happy with Ottawa weather… we have the Bell Fibe TV App. I live in Kingston, and BOTH 505 and 1505 show the identical Toronto (Oshawa Barrie Windsor triangle). Completely useless weather information, and nowhere in the app settings to change location. I wasted two hours on.two separate phone calls to Bell customer service with no resolution. I was supposed to get a call back, but they never did. Very disappointing customer service, and by the looks of this thread, Bell doesn’t care or even bother to try and understand the issue.

Rogers automatically sets your current town as the default. If Rogers can do this, Bell should also.

Good Day.
There is no setting that allows you to pick and choose your municipality weather on Bell Fibe TV as you can on the web or on T.W.N. apps.
On Fibe TV, Channel 1505 is The Weather Network - National Broadcast.
The closest you can get to your specific town's weather on Fibe TV will be what is showing up Channel 505.
For example, in my area, South / West. Ont,. Channel 505 is mapped to the major municipalities closest to my home locale. E.g Kitchener - London & vicinity are mapped to view the weather for Toronto, Kitchener, Waterloo, & London. This can not be changed.
Thank you for posting your question.

I live close to Kingston yet the local weather on channel 505 only goes a far east as Coburg. The weather around the golden horseshoe is NOT the same weather we get towards Kingston. I used to have local weather with Cogeco and I would like to know how to get it with Bell Fibe. I have downloaded TWN app but I cannot change it to my location.

Localized forecasts on The Weather Network are not available. Regional forecasts are available. There is an extensive thread about the app and TWN here. See the replies with the green checkmark as most helpful.

Hello,
Had an ice storm a week ago. Since everything has come back to normal, the weather channel is now designated to Montreal weather. I'm in Ontario. How do I fix this?

Thank you for your question. Are you on Bell Satellite TV or Bell Fibe TV? TWC provides regional forecasts and not localized weather. Much depends on where you are located in Ontario. If you live in Thunder Bay and show weather for Montreal, there is an issue. If you live in Cornwall, for example, perhaps less so. You can reboot your receiver to see if that changes the forecast area.
