I cannot get to the Router setup page (192.168.2.1) on my HomeHub2000. After entering the address, my browser just hangs on the Bell spash page. It doesn't even get far enough to enter a password.
The last line in the initialization log is: "8. init_context // Progress // Reattempting application context load..." It will sit for hours on that screen. The Initialization Log is attached.
I have tried the Bell virtual repair tool and rebooting the modem/router. Nothing helped. Any ideas?

Hey there @Carm 🙂
Just checking in with you to see if you are still having any trouble accessing the modem GUI.
If you are we recommend you reset the modem to factory settings, and ensure that you stick to a basic character password (avoid non-ascii characters).

Try that out and update the Community with the results.

Update... I called Bell Technical. They can see my router and everything looks good from their side. The Tech said they updated my settings and firmware. My problem is not resolved. The Tech said, "You're not the only one to complain about this issue. This is a problem on our end. We are looking into it and will call you back before 4pm. Keep trying the webpage."
They never called. Problem is not fixed.

Hi there @MikeHudson, thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community.
We wanted to check in to see if you're still having any trouble and if our technical team was able to call you back.
If you are still experiencing any issues can you share which browser/device you're using? Are you able to test on a different browser/device to see if the issue persists?
Also, do you recall when you last accessed the modem GUI?
Let the Community know how everything is going.

The problem is not fixed. I haven't heard from a technician.
I have tried Chrome and Edge browsers. They both freeze on the on the bell spash page.
I was able to log in to http://192.168.2.1/mobile.html but there are only basic settings available there.

Hey there @MikeHudson, thanks for your reply.
Can you test a different Ethernet port on the modem and then try to access the modem GUI again?
Keep the Community posted.

Try clearing your cache, cookies, history & login info in your browser. If you are using a computer, do a restart. After the restart, try logging in once again. If this fails, reboot your modem by unplugging the power cord, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in & retry logging in. If this fails, please contact Bell Internet Tech Support at: 1-800-310-SURF

Hi there @guwonja
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community.
We wanted to check in to see if you are able to access it now? If not, were able to try any of the suggestions in the thread and if so, what have you tried?
Looking forward to hearing back.

Oct. 3, 2023
Hello.
I had the same problem. A phone call to Bell Support only got a low-level tech person who could not assist me in resolving it. However, using Command Prompt (with administrator privileges), I typed
ipconfig /all
and the resulting screen display under the heading "Ethernet adapter Ethernet" displayed, among other data,
the IPv4 Address, Default Gateway, DCHP Server, and DNS Servers which may be different from 192.168.2.1 - such as for example 192.168.2.22 etc.
Try typing one of those other numbers into a new URL bar and the router should open normally. It did for me, anyway.
What I suspect may have happened was an attempt to create a static IP for your router or firewall by, in my case, following the various Google online port-forewarding tutorials, many of which may not provide the desired results and where it is easy to make a mistake.
I will assume that Bell doesn't want to spend more "tutorial telephone time" than necessary with their subscribers, despite the fact they charge so much for their "service". Asking them for a more experienced tech person to come on the phone may not work, unfortunately.
Hope I could help. 🙂

Same issue. I’m trying to set up a guest WiFi but can’t access the router. I have bell hub 2000. It sounds like my hardware is not up to date. Frustrated!

I have found that Edge browser does a re-direct for every search through Google or Bing. Then you get into a page of people asking the same question. No way to avoid that re-direction whether your search is in the search box or in the address bar. Finally I tried an "In-Private" browsing window. Bingo, no re-direction and a page full of answers. Try that.

Let me clarify. If you put 192.168.2.1 or http://192.168.2.1 into your address bar, your web browser may re-direct that as a search ABOUT 192.168.2.1, what it is, what it does etc. You do not get to your actual router. I found that in-private browsing didn't re-direct.

I can’t access the hub 2000 through the internet. Therefore I have no administrative access and no way of managing my Wi-Fi networks (primary and guest network etc.). I cannot set a transfer speed (2.4G or 5G).
