Hi everyone.
Any ideas why my cellular data isn’t working in particular USA state? When I travel to IL my data stops working. I have had a temporary fix by switching from ATT roaming to Tmobil. But now it seems that I cant use my data despite I switch to any other US operator. Have tried everything. Reset my network settings, turn off my phone, remove sim.
There is no problems in any other state or province. Only Illinois

In Canada, service has no problem at all both 5G and Volte work perfectly.
However, while roaming in the US, doesn't matter AT&T or T-Mobile, the 5G Internet working well, but the IMS is not registered and VOLTE is not available.
These cause AT&T cannot make or receive calls, since AT&T has no more 3G network. T-Mobile can make calls only in 3G. When I make calls the 5G icon disappeared, call quality is bad, also while calling internet stops.
Tried to call technical support and waited about a hour, nothing was done, they can't find what's the problem and the call got interrupted, no body call me back.
Please help this issue is really annoying.

No incoming calls when in the USA, Data and SMS, and outgoing calls are fine. but cannot recieve any incoming calls, both from USA and Canada. For over a year trying to resolve this with various representatives but no fix. Had enough, about to move to another carrier who is giving the exact same service. Just thought I would try here first.
Tried
changing carriers in the USA
resetting phone
clearing caches
wipe and start over
no wifi calling
re installing sim card
airplane mode on then off

This does not work for me, I am seeing in this thread that most problems in roaming are happening with android dsvices, they dont seem to registered correctly, so other carriers recognize the calling. I have tried all the suggestions for over a year. No ability to get calls on bell in the USA. Just a comment my wife is on another carriers plan for $37/mos and she has USA/Mex roaming as well, has no problems at all with the same phone. It has to be a bell thing.

Hey there @Techie ,
Thanks for the heads up.
Some customers may be experiencing issues using their services in the USA. The issue is currently being investigated with our roaming partners.

Thank you for your question. With a little digging, it appears the VoLTE is older technology that defaults to 3G when available. It is no surprise that your calls on 3G are poor quality. AT&T does not support 3G either, as you said, although Bell's own information says it supports VoLTE. Do you have Roam Better on your plan and is it enabled? If so, that may allow your phone to work in the US.

I am on the same boat. Currently in Florida and zero phone cell service, but text and Internet data work fine. How is it possible that Bell cannot communicate with TMobile, AT&T, Verizon to ensure service between our countries? I will cancel my Can-US-MEX plan and just by a sim card that works

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.
Have you tried to power your device off & back on? If you are experiencing no service at all in the area you are visiting, then the message you are seeing is normal.
There is no guarantee that there will coverage & service in all locations. Have you tried to connect manually & select the local networks where you're located? Depending on where you are at & where you are going, & the local network traffic, you may need to repeat this step several times until you capture a working network.
iOS / iPhone:
- From your Home screen, tap Settings
- Tap Cellular
- Tap Cellular Network or Network Selection
- Tap the Automatic switch to turn off
- Once available, networks will appear. At this point, you may select your desired local carrier.
Android / Samsung:
- From your Home screen, swipe down and tap the Settings icon in the top right
- Tap Connections
- Tap Mobile networks
- Tap the switch to turn Select automatically off
- Once available, networks will appear. At this point, you may select your desired local carrier.
Let us know if everything works out for you & you can connect to a network.
Take care & thank you for posting your question.
