Bell did not send it. When in doubt delete, delete, delete!

Bell will not share your information. Bell will never ask for any personal information via email such as passwords, PIN numbers, banking or credit card information, etc. etc.

I recommend that you click "Mark as spam" from webmail (when you log in from http://www.bell.net) this will ensure the team managing Bell email service will be aware of this specific spam campaign, can investigate and block it. You can also send a copy of that email to abuse@bell.ca

The most important part of fraud prevention is education and awareness. Knowing about the different types of fraud, how to identify fraud attempts and what they look like, along with what to do next if you suspect fraud are key to increasing your protection.

This is a message that i got today. i have received previous ones with bell logos etc which look official but the email address of the sender suggests that it is spam. The interesting thing is that I cannot block or report as spam when I hit the dropdown menu....The screenshot of the most recent is pictured below

Hi there @msp

Thank you for your post and welcome to the Bell Community.

We strongly recommend forwarding the email to phish@bell.ca.

As for not being able to block or report as spam, how are you accessing your Bell email (web browser/email client such as Outlook)? What does happen when you click on the drop down menu?

Are you also able to test on a different device/browser?

Hope to hear from you,

- Patricia

Hey there MSP I got the same looking email, after reading some of the threads on this sight .....I just ignored them , putting all into my Junk/Spam. Problem though there are so many no idea how to stop them.

It is a pandemic...... there is little you can do other than following some advice & reporting the issue. You also need to be proactive sharing this with family, friends, business & work associates, etc.

Scam! Bell would never send you a message asking you to open a pdf or a link to verify your Email account. Beware of phishing & malware. Report as junk & delete.

To report as Spam & place in your Junk mail, you need to select the appropriate message. Once you have selected this message, directly above, next to the Trash can there  is Circle icon with a Diagonal line through it. Select this & follow the prompts. This will mark the message as spam & place it your Junk folder. You can also do this in bulk from your Inbox.

Hi

I've received a very convincing spam email from Bell about my account being overdue, which it isn't.

You should check on this, it looks real. I don't seem to be able to add a screenshots, this app won't open the image insert.

Thanks
