Fibe TV HDPVR recordings disappear immediately after being recorded

My Bell Fibe is no longer keeping my recordings.  As a test I did a live record and right after it shows as complete it disappears from my recordings list.  I've tried various combinations including 'keep till I delete' but to no avail.  It shows up in My Recent Recordings while it is recording but the just disappears upon completion.  I've power cycled the PVR to no avail.  My space available shows only 15% used so that's not the issue... Help!

Hey @DEES
Thank you for reaching out to the Bell Community.

Can you clarify what type of receiver you have?
It sounds like your TV receiver is not turned on at all. If the receiver is not turned on/plugged in (with an exception of the Fibe TV Box 7802), any recordings on the app will auto delete after 24 hours.

Have a nice day 🙂

I unplugged & replugged the receiver.  It appears this helped & the recordings are again being deleted permanently when I do it on my iPad app.

Thanks for the help!

Good Day & Welcome to the Bell Community Forum.

There is no limit on the number of recordings per se. There is a limit based on the number of hours & the storage date of the recording.

Bell Fibe TV cloud-based PVR recording lets you store up to 320 hours of recordings, regardless of the resolution, for up to 60 days.

Once you reach 320 hours, your recordings will start to be deleted, beginning with the oldest.

Recordings are automatically deleted after 60 days or once the storage limit is reached.

You’ll get a reminder 15 days before a recording expires.

Take care

I've done a couple of test recordings.  When monitoring them they say something like 'available for viewing in 23 minutes' and count down.  After recording at least one was available for playback within the first 5 minutes or so before disappearing/being deleted.

It seems that a recording is around for 30 minutes after completion.  I can view what was recorded.  After 30 minutes though the recording 'disappears'.

Hey @DougC_B, thanks for your post.

Definitely sounds like odd behavior.

To make sure the Community can fully assist; can you confirm what model PVR you have?

Thanks so much.

my 4k dvr has a similar issue after setting the schedule for news programs to “keep at most X episodes”. I’m trying out solutions too. U said u tried “keep till I delete”. Dym u clicked on this specific episode or the settings related to future episodes?

The normal recording setup (that worked originally) was recording the series until I deleted the episodes.  That no longer works.  My 'diagnostic tests' was mostly just 'record this upcoming episode' or 'record what I'm currently watching' and keep the recording till I delete it.  As mentioned above, those recordings seemed to be around for 30 minutes post recording before being deleted.

ooops gl then. Mine starts to be working again. But my dvr is nearly 90% full. I have to delete recordings every now and then. otherwise the new one will stop whenever it reaches 90%, even if the show is in progress.

Well, I'm not certain if Bell fixed the problem or my partner did.  Recordings have resumed and the stay recorded.  One thing we noticed just prior to the resumption of recording was that a number of previously deleted recordings had reappeared.  They were deleted once again and recordings started to work and stay recorded.  Bizarre but I'm happy with the outcome.  Thanks!

CANNOT DELETE A TV RECORDING: I currently have a subscription to Bell Fibe TV service. I use the Fibe TV App on my Amazon Firestick and on my computer. I record various shows weekly and delete them once they have been watched. For the last month or so, there are many previously recorded TV shows (that are several months old) that I cannot delete. When I delete them, after a few hours the deleted recordings reappear in my Recording series list. On top of that, new recordings mysteriously delete themselves overnight. Please help me fix this!

Which PVR and how old is it?

Hey there @CBY. Thanks for your post and welcome to the Bell Community.
As @AlexS suggested can you share the make and model of your TV receiver + which modem you're using?
Are you deleting the shows directly off your Fire Stick or from the TV receiver?
In regards to the shows that seem to be missing, are they gone from all devices you use or are you able to see them when you check the recordings on your receiver?

To start we recommend rebooting all equipment, and check to see if your deleted/new recordings are gone/available.
Looking forward to hearing from you.

I am having the exact same problem (recordings disappear after a short while) but with the iOS and tvOS apps. Never had this problem with the dedicated TV box.

We have now unplugged the tv box and are solely using the Fibe TV app on Apple TV. One thing we have noticed is that scheduled recordings will show up when done but will disappear after a few days. Nowhere to be seen. The same behaviour can be seen on the iOS app. However this did not use to happen on the dedicated tv box.

My storage capacity is at 10% which is occupied with old recordings.

Anyone is having this problem?

Are you using the old big 5662 box? If yes and you mean the free storage is merely at 10%, you have to delete more recordings, cause the nominal 320hr space for the old box includes the 2 min paddings at the end of each automatic recording.

So anyone using the 2262 should note that changing all recordings to "save until I erase" seems to have fixed my specific issue of recordings being deleted within hours. That was similar to most here, the box would say 10% full and there would be only a few recordings saved on it.

I did have synch issues between Amazon Fire stick app, older set top boxes and my PVR(where shows would appear as recorded but not actually exist on the PVR) This seems to have resolved after I did a power cycle on both boxes a couple months ago.

I am still convinced there is/was a data problem that is/was causing some PVRs to view all unsynched boxes and apps cumulatively and erase shows unwantingly because it thinks it is "full". Even though the unsynched boxe's or apps shown content wasnt actually there.
