How can I pay with my debit card on MyBell app?

It is only showing me to input my credit card payment information.

Hello,

I recently upgraded my Bell device and opted for the auto pay 10 dollar a month discount. However when I go to set up auto pay it doesn't work. It doesn't work on my fully updated app (It lets me input all the information but then when I hit continue nothing at all happens it just stalls. I've tried force closing the app. Uninstalling and reinstalling. Nothing works.). It doesn't work when I log in via computer web browser (it lets me input all the information, confirm all of my information and thing gives me a "somethings wrong" error message and won't complete the set up). I have tried online chatting with a support person who essentially said "sorry I can't help you set it up but call the accounts and payments department". And when I called the accounts and payments department all they said was "sorry we can only set up credit card preauthorized payments not preauthorized debit". So now I am at a complete loss. I'm going to lose my 10 dollar a month autopay deal if I don't set it up but I physically cannot set it up. I feel like throwing this new phone through a window! 

If anyone has gotten this same run around please let me know if it's fixable! FYI I am with a credit union and it is one of the available options when I manually enter my information.

We wanted to check in to see if you were still experiencing the issue. If so, please provide the following details;

  • Have you contacted your financial institution to ensure you were entering the right account and transit information?
  • What financial institution are you attempting to use?
  • Please provide more details on what you mean by just stalls?
  • Please provide a screenshot of the error received when attempting to set up your preauthorized payment method.

Has anyone else had a problem setting up Autopay? The $10/mo discount is a nice incentive.

However, I have tried FIVE times now to enter my information. It is correct, and I am with Vancity. 

Is this a Vancity thing?

It appears Vancity is on the list of choices. (VANCOUVER CITY SAVINGS CREDIT UNION)
